If you're wondering...

what I'm working on: Normally, I like to have a few things on-the-go. I am the Co-Chair on Western's Engineering Undergraduate EDID (Equity, Diversity, Inclusivity, Decolonization) Committee - where I work with faculty and staff to strive for a comfortable place for all students. Alongside to chairing the committee, I have started a Women in Engineering initiative with some faculty members - bringing more support to the females of engineering. I am working on a machine learning method to aid one of the biggest bottlenecks in research: amalgamating data from a myriad of resources. I learned about the difficulties that come from collecting various data sources and trying to gauge them on one plane, so I decided to try and solve this. For fun, I've been working on a few other LLM-powered tools; one being a project to help learn music theory on the guitar!

where I come from: Being constantly curious, I've put effort into trying and learning in every field I could. I've worked in fields from crypto banking to ML dev, visual arts to ophthalmology, gravitational space waves to full-stack. And, I've come out with this mindset; I don't need to pick and focus on only one field. I now combine everything I learned over the years, and build with the capability and capacity to consider all perspectives.

where I'm going next: Since I'm very passionate about my software and tech work, a lot of what I do is on a computer - but, I've decided I want to try and get more hands on. I've recently started welding (both TIG and MIG) - but it's a pretty intimidating (and not well-known) hobby, so I've started working with faculty to bring more opportunities for female engineers to learn as well. Moving forward, I plan to continue my work with ML model building and build my skills in LLM tuning, continue with my work in gravitational space waves, and take a stronger biomedical lens for new projects.
